DepreciationWorks® Grid View
The Grid View page is an on screen interactive depreciation schedule. It sorts your schedule by general ledger cost account, complete with subtotals and grand totals. Plus you can sort by any column with a click of the mouse, ascending or descending. And you can change the grid to group by any column. Just drag any column header to and from the group band at the top of the grid. Additionally, there is a Filter button that toggles column filtering on and off. Use filtering to exclude assets records from the view based on parameters you specify. The Preview button initiates a screen print that also allows you send the Grid View to your printer.
The Grid View page is not just a static display of your asset information. You can edit in the grid. Did you spell something incorrectly? Correct it where you see it. Correct it in the grid itself. Want to change the property tax category? Go ahead. No need to switch to another page and try and find the asset that needs the edit.
Notice that the column footers give you subtotals and grand totals for cost, prior depreciation and current depreciation. That means you can tie out your work to the general ledger right on the screen.
