Multiple users
begin by installing version 2 to a workstation that has version 1.x already
installed. Version 2 will read the data path from version 1.x. The
Data Conversion page within version 2 will build the new database in the version
2 install directory, by default C:\Program Files\DepreciationWorks2\Data.
The Data folder can later be copied to a LAN drive. The File menu item Change
Data Path in version 2 allows you to browse to the LAN drive location.
For the purpose of migrating to version 2, version 1.5 can
be downloaded. Email
charles@depreciationworks.com to obtain a link to the file for downloading
Version 1.5.
Testimonial: "I just got through loading the new
software version and moving the data files over. It works! I’m so excited. Thank
you so much for your helpful instructions! I’m so happy that I do not have to
switch computers anymore and can use mine. I love the new look also, can’t wait
to get all my fixed assets put in and get things cleaned up for the auditors
that will be here in three weeks. Thanks again!"
